Much of the material was authored by those scholars, and much original source material is in the public domain under U.S. Copyright law. Nevertheless, some of the materials on the Valley of the Shadow website may still be under copyright.

Valley of the Shadow makes the site freely available for non-commercial uses in research, teaching, scholarship, and private study.
