Fratricide
(Column 2)
Summary: An argument between two brothers on 7/26/1858 ended in murder. Davidson and Michael Gearheart lived near Middlebrook. A disagreement over business led Michael to challenge Davidson to a fight. When Michael picked up a stone, Davidson beat him over the head with a rifle. Michael died two days later. Davidson was arrested and transported to Staunton.
