Samuel North

Before the war, Samuel North lived with his family in Peters Township in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. Like other men in his family, Samuel worked as a tanner. In August 1862, when he was nineteen years old, Samuel enlisted as a private in Company C of the 126th Pennsylvania. He served until May 1863. After the war, Samuel resumed the tanning trade in Mercersburg, Pennsylvania.
