Your letter of [unclear: enquiry] was duly received concerning John Brent colored against [unclear: Joh.] Miller. The case was duly tried and upon John's our acknowledgements. Miller brought him in debt. Not having the docket I cannot give a full statement as there is two of us sets together and renders up judgements time about.
