Dear Sir -

You will please file your statement in this office without delay, setting forth by what authority you claim & have taken possession of one horse property of Lucy & John Wells (colored) of Moffits Creek - which horse was purchased of you by them & paid for with 30 bushels of oats & one cow property of said Lucy & John Wells.
