Sir

In reply to your request of [illeg.] instant for a supply of clothing for your [unclear: self] and family who are in a suffering condition I most respectfully inform you that I have a supply of clothing on hand to be issued to the extremely poor & indigent freedpeople, of the County. If you come under this head we can do something for you, but it is necessary for you to come to this office in person to [unclear: receipt] for such articles as I may give you & to take charge of them yourself
