In compliance with Circular Letter dated Office C.Q.M. & D.O. Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands District of Virginia Richmond, Virginia July 29th 1868 I have the honor to make the following report viz:

John A. McDonnell Commissioned Captain 28th Massachusetts Volunteers October 8th 1861. Transfered to Veterans Reserve Corps and commission as Captain in that Corps dated July 27. 1863. Mustered out of service January 1. 1868. Service continuous from October 8th 1861 Employed as Sub Assistant Commissioner Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands at the time of muster out.

E.H. Ripley Commissioned 1st Lieutenant 8th Connecticut Volunteers March 2d 1862. Commissioned Captain 8th Connecticut Volunteers August 15 1862 Commissioned Captain Veterans Reserve Corps September 30th 1863. Mustered out January 1 1868 service continuous from

March 2d 1862, was employed as Assistant Sub Assistant Commissioner in Bureau Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands at date of muster out.

John W. Jordan Commissioned Major 57th Indiana Infantry October 10/61 Resigned November 22nd 62 - Commissioned 1st Lieutenant & Adjutant 53d Kentucky Volunteers June 1st 1863. Resigned September 1st 1863. Commissioned Captain Veterans Reserve Corps June 18, 1864. Mustered out January 1. 1868. was employed as Sub Assistant Commissioner Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands at time of muster out. Service not continuous.
