Freedmen's Bureau Records: Frederick S. Tukey to Orlando Brown, July 17, 1868

This will introduce to your favorable notice Mr. Wm J Dews of Richmond Va. A man tried and true in the Union Cause who is seeking a position in the Bureau as Agent or Clerk.

I have had a three years acquaintance with him and it affords me great pleasure to recommend him as a Man of Excellent character and business attainments.

Any favors you can show him will be worthily bestowed.
