i take this present time to inform you that i am Well at this present time and i hope When these few lines reaches you they may find you enjoying the same state of i receive your kind letter last month and i Was glad to hear from you and all the rest but i am sorry to say that i think it long between letters for i haven't had one for some time i am Just Waiting for the mail to Come for i hope to your likeness in it i Was glad to hear to hear that you got mine for i sent John my likeness a long time but i Don't know Whether he got it or not but i am happy to say that i have got a good place now i am in the chief commissary Clerk and i [unclear: mes] With the [unclear: offrs] i live at the top of the [unclear: pile] times is good here now i have not got time to write much this time but i Will write in the next letter all about
