My Dear i receive your kind and affectionate Wife i receive it this night With the greatest of pleasure [unclear: kines] my Dear i am happy to hear that you have such good health i am happy to say thank god that i have had good health so far my head is not healed up yet but i Don't think that I Will get any Cold in it for the Weather is pretty hot here and has been hot ever since i have been in the south there is please to excuse this bad writing and the mistake i Was writing i that that i only had one sheet of paper and When I found out Why i Was writing two sheet of paper and i know that you Would have to laugh When got it and look at it i Will give you the right Direct how to write your letters you must Direct your letter to me
