My Dear

i take this opportunity to set down to let you know that i have receive your letter and Was very happy to hear from you for i had that that you had [unclear: giveing] writing to me for i have wrote so much and i got no answer till now and if you know how glad i Was When i got that Why you Would laughed to yourself for i had got out of heart Waiting for a letter but i am sorry for What i said in the last letter but still i Can't blame you for not writing if you Wasn't at home but i must tell you what i Do now some days i fill a Canteen and sometimes i go for [unclear: orstter] and then i stay all day about a miles from Camp and i ain't Done [unclear: nobe] Work for about a month but i have got pretty well again but i Was Washing my head and i felt something in the hole and i put my hand up in the hole and i pulled out a piece of my [unclear: Cule] and it has got sore again but i thing it Will get Well again but i am getting along very Well at this time and i don't know Whether i Will Come home soon or not i had thought that i Would stay till Christmas and i Won't make it longer then for i think that We Will be [unclear: nearder] home then it is so far that i don't like to store [unclear: fest] big myself nothing more give my love to aunt mary and uncle sol harson and all the friends i had wrote to Aunt Mary but i haven't got no [unclear: anles] yet i wrote to [unclear: lysey] too and tell [unclear: lysey] to write and send me a lock of her head hair and tell giney gater that her Dear is very sorry to hear of his likenes but he say that he Will get it taken again if it Cost twenty Dollar and give my love to ginney and aunt marry harson that i think it but a short time since i left home nothing more at Present but good night
