My Dear
i take this present time to inform you that i am Well at present and hope When these few lines reach your Dear hand they may find you in the same state of health i am sorry that i Did not get a letter from you this mail but i Can't say W hether you Wrote or not for the mail Went to the regiment so that We Did not get any letters yet but a how happy i Would be to get a letter from you for i think it so long since i heard from you i Can tell you that going home just spoiled me for i Can't get it out of my head all that i Can do i Can't get it out of my head a My Dear i think sometimes i Can't [unclear: sty] out till the two years is up but i think if you write Why it Will [unclear: Ware] away but When I look at your Dear face Why it looks so Well Why i say to myself how Can i stay away from you but i hope that the time Will soon slip around but i Can tell you that if i ever get back i shall never leave you again but i hope and trust that god may spare me to get home again i think that We Can live together all the Days of my life al l the men that is in [unclear: tome] Can't get me again it Would take a Wagon and six horses to pool me out and i Can't tell you anything about the Boys in this letter for i have not heard from them and i did not get to s ee them but i saw Jacob Cristy on the [unclear: Dock] he is [unclear: ordly] [unclear: fros] the [unclear: Cirlen] of the 55th Mass. volunteers but i heard t hat the [unclear: Cirl] Was kill and i Can't tell Where he is but i think that they Will all back again soon i have not got time to write much but i hope When these few lines reach you Why you Will write soon nothing more at present but still remain
