My Dear Sister
i have took my pen in hand to let you know that i am well and i hope that these few lines may find you enjoying the same state of health and the rest of the days that are in Camp are well give my love to all the rest of the friends you can tell them that we are all well and are getting along very well and we expect to move soon to north Carolina and you may look for another letter soon and i will send you my likeness as soon as i can get it taken the regiment are full now and we [unclear: ar] got our uniform and arms tell father that i will send some money home to pay Clark for my boots as soon as we get our bounty that will be soon we are ten miles beyond boston
