I take my pen hand to inform to you that I am well and I hope that these few lines may find you in the same state of health I have wrote three letters and have only receive one yet I am well and is getting along very well get plenty to eat and getting along as well as well as I expected we have took one town and burnt it down the name of it is Darien we got a great deal of furniture and some sheep and cattle hogs and chickens and got [unclear: Capetr] one one boat of Wood the whole amount Was about a million of dollars i have not time to write much at this time but i am very sorry to hear of such a letter as i got do you think that i let my [illeg.] [unclear: tock] about you i am sorry to think that you Would think of that [unclear: tock] please to write as soon as you can and let me know how you all are nothing more at present but still remain
