my dear
i take this opportunity to set Down to inform you that i am Well at Present and hoping When these few lines may reach you they may find you in the same state of health i am sorry to tell you that i do think it a long time to hear from you i have wrote about 8 letters and i haven't got but one letter for about 6 Weeks and then i hope When these few lines reach you Why i think that you Will write sooner then What you do and tell all the friends to [unclear: sharlard] [unclear: bron] to please to write and let me know and tell me something about [unclear: harred] [unclear: miche] and tell me all about the ladies fair think it a long time to see all the People and tell me all about antan and about aunt baby and aunt [unclear: becleys] and Mrs. sarrey right and ms reachel m [unclear: mulen] and tell me something about robber righte and his family and tell me something about the [unclear: chisles] whether they are as bad as What they Wear When i Was at home i Would like to know who is keeping house for him and tell me something about Cousin gorg Cristy family for i think it a long time to hear from them and tell Cousin goge that his Willey is Well at present and tell him that i Would like to know how you got along this summer i had heard that the rebel Was in that part and i heard that had a hard time With them i Can tell you that i have seen so many rebel that if i set down and if they are [unclear: roting] Why i Won't get up to see them for i see them every Day more or less and We Work everyday When the rebels [unclear: polse] is [unclear: roaling] all about us and they kill a man now and then but a [unclear: ded] [unclear: ma] [unclear: ant] any more then a flea but When We take the [unclear: noson] We make the Just get up and fly We are the [unclear: travile] boys that [unclear: feir] no noise and i must tell you that We Come out to fight and We [unclear: boute] to fight till i did We have got our [unclear: name] up and We Fought to Keep it up but now i think i have [unclear: gast naft] i must tell you something else and now i Want you now that i am a pretty good man yet if i am [unclear: sot] but now thomes eadesburgs send his love to you all and William [unclear: burgs] send his love to you all and the [unclear: serends] David A. Demes i [unclear: sed] his love to everybody and tell [illeg.] Wilkison that i Would like to know [illeg.] something Wilkson and Mr. strockson and tell me how they are all getting along and i hope that i Will get home again to see you all again and please to please to give my love to all the friend and tell them that i am Well at Present hoping When these lines reaches you they may find you all i the same state of health nothing more at Present but still remain
