My Dear husband

i take my pen in hand to inform you that i am well at present and i hope that this few lines may find you the same state of health i receive you letter the 12 of this month we was glad to hear from you all once more but i am sorry to hear about bill was he kill or wounded [unclear: ar] where was he left let us know [unclear: wher] the rebel have him or not it was in the papers that bill and Joe was wounded Joe in the head and bill in the back it was in the paper that itwas a Demus kill but i could not think it was you but we must be thankful to god i was very much trouble a you all i hope that you [unclear: onte] get in any more battle when do you think you can come home i would like if you could to come home before i [unclear: harout] bill and wesley cunkel are here and a look so nice in the soldier [unclear: clock] when you wrote the over time you was coming i set up every night looking for you till ten o'clock then i woud give you up and go to bed and lay and listen i could not sleep half for i was so sure you would come father would say he won't come tonight o but i [unclear: dou] with you could come father send his love to you all and for you to take good care of yourself i am still at Mr. patterson living yet i get seven five cents week for every week but i am coming home in a short time i do like to live there very much i get along so well Mr. patterson are [unclear: pleis] very much with my [unclear: sonan] i can make better [unclear: sonan] then he can they are so [unclear: king] i could live there all the time if i could live home all the time one of [unclear: frisey] girl are coming there to live this summer uncle sol and aunt Mary sends love to you all they [unclear: woud] to [unclear: hare] [unclear: form] [unclear: wear] i am well and get alongs very well [unclear: but] [unclear: trub] in minds very much some time i am [unclear: trub] so much i don't know [unclear: meney] time [unclear: woth] i am down but i hope and pray we met again one place or the [unclear: over] peace be with you all
