My dear Sir

You must excuse me for not answering your letter at an earlier day. You have no doubt seen our nominations. They are good men and if elected I think one of them at least would be your friend and vote for you. Colonel Orr is a Mason. Could you do any thing for me by writing to some friend in [unclear: Quimata], as also one or two in Adams. I will be grateful for any assistance you can render me.
