Summary:
In writing to his father, Edward McPherson expresses relief at his parents' improving health.

[illeg.]

Philadelphia

My dear Father

I received today Lizzie's letter. It went to Harrisburg by the direct mail of Saturday, but was not delivered until Monday. Mr. Wallace presented it-- I am delighted to hear that you are better & that Mother improves. [unclear: I presume] you will soon be alone. Don't forget to send for Aunt Polly-- I write hastily a line after tea, to let you know that I have heard & that our anxiety is relieved.

Yours

Edward
