Another Flood
(Column 1)
Summary: Another flood "visited" Staunton on Monday. It swept away the preliminary repairs made since the last flood. The house of Mrs. Parish fell into the creek and she nearly drowned, but was saved by A. D. Chandler and Lawrence Kiltay. Corn grown near Staunton suffered lots of damage. The Council began the next day to remove obstructions from the creek to improve the flow and lessen the flooding.
