The Sick and Wounded of the Stonewall Brigade

Summary: J. C. Marquis writes N. K. Trout, mayor of Staunton, that most of the wounded men from the Stonewall Jackson brigade are in Staunton, and through this letter wants to notify friends and family of the men's whereabouts and condition. Stonewall Jackson's Admission into Heaven

Summary: This anecdote relates that when two angels came to take Stonewall Jackson back to heaven with them, he was nowhere to be found. When they returned to heaven, they learned that Jackson had outflanked them and arrived there ahead of them.
