Horse Thief Detective Club

Summary: A number of local citizens have formed "Koiner's Store Detective Club" to search for and recover "stolen horses and property of all kinds" and arrest the "thieves." Each member will have his horse branded, and if any are stolen, all members are obligated to help recover it. If it cannot be recovered, the club also has a fund to partially reimburse the owner for the loss.

Summary: The old "Stonewall Band" was reorganized on Thursday. Prof. A. J. Turner will act as leader; T. M. Turner, assistant leader; E. M. Cushing, president; Samuel C. Baskins, secretary and treasurer. "This news will be gratifying to many who held it in high esteem as well on account of the musical talent of its members as from its name and record in connection with the famous 'Stonewall' Brigade during the war."
