city are reported down, and the railroad open.

PHILADELPHIA, PA.,
October 10, 1862.
The operator at Chambersburg says there is a large force of rebel cavalry reported 10 miles of that place. Our wire is down between Chambersburg and Bedford-probably cut. Railroad route alright.
