Summary:
Union General in Chief Henry Halleck asks General Darius Couch, commanding from
Chambersburg, to countermand movement orders for New York State militia troops
in this July, 1863, dispatch. The New York troops were in Pennsylvania to help
repel The Army of Northern Virginia's invasion during the Gettysburg
campaign.
