Summary:
Union General Darius Couch, commanding at Chambersburg, writes the Adjutant General of the Army in July, 1864, with reports of Confederate troop movements.


ADJUTANT-GEN. U. S. ARMY:

CHAMBERSBURG, PA.,

July 4, 1864

Some rebels have crossed below Williamsburg. Probably not a large number there encamped. It is believed that several thousand infantry are near that place.
