Summary:
These Special Orders issued by the Department of the Susquehanna at Chambersburg in November, 1864, instruct a battery to move from Chambersburg to Pittsburgh.


Chambersburg, Pa.,

November 1, 1864.

2. Capt. T. H. Bates, Company A, First Regt. New York Artillery, will proceed without delay, with one section of his battery, from Chambersburg to Pittsburg, and report to Brig. Gen. T. A. Rowley, U. S. Volunteers, commanding Monongahela District, for orders. The quartermaster's department will furnish the necessary transportation by railroad.
