These Union Special Orders issued by the Department of the Susquehanna at Chambersburg in November, 1864, relieve Captain L. B. Norton from his position as Department chief signal officer.

November 3, 1864.

9. Capt. L. B. Norton, Signal Corps, U. S. Army, is hereby relieved from duty as chief signal officer of the Department of the Susquehanna, in accordance with paragraph 41, Special Orders, No. 368, War Department, Adjutant-Gen.'s Office, October 27, 1864.
