Summary:
These Union Special Orders, issued by Assistant Adjutant for the Department of Pennsylvania Fitz-John Porter, concern assignment of officers to regiments in June, 1861.


Chambersburg, Pa.,

June 11, 1861.

I. Bvt. Maj. Gen. George Cadwalader, Pennsylvania Volunteers, is assigned to the command of the First Division, consisting of the First, Third, and Fourth Brigades. Maj. Gen. William H. Keim, Pennsylvania Volunteers, as assigned to the command of the Second Division, consisting of the Second and Fifth Brigades.

II. The First Wisconsin Regt., Col., John C. Starkweather, and the Eleventh Pennsylvania Regt. are assigned to the Fifth Brigade.

III. Gen. Cadwalader will immediately join his command, in the vicinity of Greencastle, Pa.
