Summary:
Union Provost Marshal-General J. B. Fry writes Provost Marshal George Eyster,
stationed at Chambersburg, in June, 1863, concerning efforts to enforce the
draft in Bedford County. Fry informs Eyster that the Commandant of the military
barracks at Carlisle has been ordered to contribute troops to help enforce
enrollment in Bedford County.

Comdg. officer at Carlisle is ordered to fill your call for thirty men when required. If you need them apply to him. Call in person upon Gen. Couch, commanding department, and in case you want help at any time apply to him.
