It is with pleasure that I acknowdg the reciept of a smal packge contaning a Testament ham soap comb thread butons pins all of which I am very thankful to you for being just what I wanted I have been compeld to do without shoes since I have been here and would like to have a pare if you can send them here or I can buy them here if you can send me a litle money as I will refund it to you or your Father if Providece permits I infered from the verses you marked that you would do me a favor if required pardon me if I misunderstood you write to me at any rate and tell who Mary B. Miller is & give me all the news you can I will preserve your leter hope this will find you and all yours well
