Dear Wife
I again write you hoping it may go through safely to you. I have written often lately but as some may not reach you & will write every chance I get
We are well. Hen. died Freddy is much pleased here & enjoys himself very much. we are ridding ourselves of all our regular boarders, as it wont pay for the trouble. we have considerable transient custom here now we nearly allways have a house full. the regular boarders seem to hate to leave here but we have put up the price so as to compel them to change M rs Thomas & family left here this morning for down the Valley. we have but one family here yet. they are preparing to move soon. am anxious to clean it up. I did not yet get the things out from Br- ts but I am trying now to get them & hope to succeed as they are quite Valuable to us. I sent you a letter containing 120$ by capt B- hope you have gotten it. Louise is well & much pleased with her clothes she thinks she is a starchy negro now Freddy is fine sport for them all they think he must have a sharp Ma--as he is so sharp & smart & pretty &c &c-
hope you are all well & doing well M r Conway & M r James [deleted: goes ] our clerks start down the Valley this evening. I urge them to return as soon as can & if I can ascertain positively that the way is open to town I will come down again, but as long as I cant get home I dont care about being down the Valley at all
If you at any time conclude to come out do so & bring what you can along From time to time as you have oppertunity purchase such things for us as we may need here
Cups & saucers a few spoons small & large some blue barred cotton
for bed spreads

The bearer is now ready to start & I must close I spoke to cousin Mary about letter paper pencils & small long narrow books. you try & send them to me M r James will bring them for me
Take care of yourselves and may god bless & protect you Write me how you got off with your stores Tobacco &c--
M r Dolls son is to get $4 pr month for bringing the cow & pay him monthly you see to this I will & send you such funds as you can use these as often as I can
