Summary:
An excerpt of an order from the Military District Headquarters overturns a court
decision concerning the possession of a plot of land. The Military Commissioner
granted the land to Jacob Pitman's widow, Margaret, instead of turning it over
to an Isaac Crebs.

4 - In the case of the sale of certain lands belonging to Mrs Margaret L. Pitman, by order of the County Court of Augusta County, Virginia, to satisfy a claim against her late husband Mr Jacob Pitman, in favor of Isaac Crebs, the order of the said Court is hereby set aside, and possession of the said lands will be at once given Mrs Pitman who is hereby declared to be entitled to all the benefits of the Virginia [unclear: Stag] law.
The Military Commissioner for Augusta County is charged with the execution of the order.
