I respectfully ask information as to cost of transportation by cheapest route from Jacksonville, Florida to Staunton, Virginia. Charlotte Slate and daughter, sold hence some time back, are anxious to return here, and their friends are willing to contribute as their means admit, toward paying their passage as above.

Respectfully returned to Capt. Geo. Q. White, D.O. &c with the information that the cost of transportation at regular rates from Jacksonville, Fla. to Staunton, Va. is understood to be about $50 (fifty dollars) for each passenger. The cost on Bureau Transportation orders would be about $35 each but as these are not available in cases of the character presented of course the Former would govern
