Dear John

We received your note Willie is gone in Vincents Co. Sam is elected captain. McNary is Lieut. Colo. We will take it to McCallum. Moll has a very sore eye I think it is [unclear: erysipelus ] it is very much swollen below and around the eye. We had letters from Till & All & [illeg.]. Iris received the paper you sent, nothing new.
