Dear father

I take up my pen in hand to anser your kind and welcome letter that came to hand last night and was red with Pleser I was very glad to hear that you are all at Present I also let you know that I am will at Present Time and I hope my few lines will find you and all the rest in good health. I seen state that John Poke was ded I hope he is in a good place I will stop for this time rite soon
