Dear Mother
I take my pen in hand to let you no that I am well at this present time and hope that these few lines will find you in the same state of good health. I got the paper and envelopes that you sent me and i was glad to get them for [illeg.] them. I am sorry that John was sick but i am in hope that he will get well again. i think that we will get pade of in a few days and then i will send some of it home to you i want you to send me a box if you can but if you cant it won't make much difference. Direct your box in care of cortermaster. Nothing more at the present time but rite soon [illeg.]
