It is with pleser I set myself to an
ser your kind letter wich I reseved
on last Saturday and [illeg.] was glad to hear from you and I am wel at present and hope theas lines will find you all wel. I wod
wrote sooner but we got marching orders. We ar just there whar Joseph is bered
and philep and me is going down as soon as we kin get away to fix up his grave. Tell Pap that D. Nole said that another man come and
got his son that lay with Joseph and if he comes he kin get Joseph. I
seen John Mason and he sade that James [unclear: Fegan]

of the boys and there is a lot of them that we havnt
