Chaplain John Ault of the 126th Regt Penn. Vols. having applied and received leave of absence from Maj. Genl. Joseph Hooker, I do hereby certify that I have examined this officer, and find that he is recovering, but is, as yet closely confined to his bed and absolutely unable to travel to rejoin his regiment. He has been absent since the 17th of January 1863, and will not be able to return in less than thirty days from this date. dated at London, Franklin Co., Penna. this 4th day of March 1863.
