Having just received the enclosed order from the Surgeon Genls. office--which which with the accompanying endorsements fix the date of my examination there on the twenty third (23rd instant. I respectfully request leave of absence for fifteen days (15) beginning February twenty first (21)--to comply with its terms and make some private arrangements preparatory to my transfer.
