Sir

I have the honor respectfully to request leave of absence for the space of ten days to enable me to return to my home in Waynesboro, Franklin County Penna for the following reasons.

On entering the service in July last I left my private business in an unsettled state. It is now important that it receive my attention as longer neglect may result in serious loss to me.
