At a meeting of the field officers and Company Commanders of the 126th Regt. Pa. Vols, on duty with the regt, held at these headquarters on this date, the Rev. John Ault, of Loudon, in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, having been nominated unanimously to me for appointment as Chaplain of the said regiment; I, James G. Elder, Colonel Commanding the 126th Regt. Pa. Vols. do, by those present appoint him the said Rev. John Ault, of Loudon, in the said County of Franklin, a regularly ordained minister of the German Reformed Church, to be Chaplain of the 126th Regt. Pa. Vols
