Franklin County: Washington G. Nugent, Medical
Report on William W. Walker, December 21, 1862
Summary:
Washington G. Nugent recommends that William W. Walker be removed from camp to
recover from his illness.
Dec. 21st, 1862
Camp of 126th Regt. Pa.
I certify that I have carefully examined Capt. W. W. Walker of Co. E. 126th Regt P.A. and find him incapacitated for the duties of a soldier in consequence of an attack of [deleted: Remitting] fever, he has been suffering for several days and is much prostrated. I further conclude that it is my opinion that removal from camp is absolutely necessary to ensure recovery.
The conveniences of camp are not such that one in his present condition should have, and I think that in order to prevent in all poss[illeg.] permanent disability he should be removed at once.
Washington G. Nugent, Serg. 126th regt. P.A.
