Please send me a copy of the Montana Gold and Silver Mining Bill. I will lift the charter in a short time. I want to send it out to Montana at once.
I will not go into the [unclear: Convention], as I have been in every one
for the last dozen years, excepting the last one, and I want, if living, to be
in the one of 1866. I will have young [unclear: will] go, [deleted: ] will go straight along on all

[unclear: Governor] will attempt some bolstering process [deleted: ] in the state of an endorsement of the last campaign.
The more I reflect upon it, the more I feel convinced that we must take Hancock for Governor. He will sweep the [illeg.] [illeg.] the climbing politicians will vanish before him like cobwebs. With him trotted out under our [unclear: auspices] & management we can swing Curtin into the Senate, & clean the boards.
