Camp near Chambersburg Pa

My Darling Wife

You [illeg.] this are anxious to hear from me and as I have a way to send a letter by a waggon to winchester I hurry to write you a few lines I am now where I never [unclear: was] in this state farther north than I ever expected to be but it seem that from our course we are still going farther we have had no difficulty got no fight Captured a quantity of stores Horses Cattle and various other things I am well I would like to write more but have not the time all of the boys are well I have two dresses and a pair of shoes for you if I can find a way to send them I [unclear: will] [unclear: close] for [unclear: Monday]
