Hon Simon Cameron.

I introduce to your acquaintance My Son Hastings Gehr, he is desirous of getting a Clerkship this winter at Harrisburg during the Session of the Legislature as transcribing clerk or some post under Forney at Washington City during the Session of Congress, I put him in a law office a few years since and he was admitted to the bar last April, but is not inclined to commence the profession for a few years, would prefer some other calling for the present, any appointance you may render him will be gratefully remembered
