I have been requested to ask you for the use of your name by many of your political friends along with the friends of the new proprietors and Editors of the Chambersburg times, a newspaper that we have just started in this place, to go to the top of its Columns as the candidate for the presidency in 1860--
I send you a copy of the paper and hope that this appeal may not be in vain, you will please address me as Soon as convenient on the subjects.
