My dear Father --
I did not get off yesterday aftn., & will be detained until this aftn.-- This morning we meet to complete the business for which I came.
I intend buying some Cumberland Coal stock. It has been selling at 13 @ 14, & is very low. [unclear: Beyond] doubt, it will rally.-- Please send me (to Phila.) a draft for the money I still have in Bank.-- It is not much, but I do not recollect the amount. I had to pay exchange or by check to Drexel. Reading is improving. I will not lose on it. Drexel offered to pay all the loss on it, within five months, if I gave him half the gain.-- He is pretty good authority.
Yours
Edwd
