The Creigh family lived in Mercersburg in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. Reverend Thomas Creigh presided over the Presbyterian Church from 1831 until his death in 1880. Thomas Alfred Creigh, the minister's son, enlisted as a private in Company C of the 126th Pennsylvania on August 2, 1862. James Creigh also served in the Union army on General Elliott's staff. |
