Dear sir
I will inform you that I am well and getting along very well now I am glad to acknowledge [added: the] reception of your letter with the draft it has relieved my very much I am very thankful to you for it,
I have nothing of interest to write to you at this time & have written a letter home but have not received an answer yet I hope we will all get home this winter I will show my letter to a close I hope to hear from you often write soon and direct as before
