Camp Ewell Dinwiddie County
Dear Giney
I hasten to drop you a line this morning in
answer to yours mailed the twenty fourth which came to hand Safely you know not how glad I was to here from you I began to think you had forgotten to write to me as it had been
some time since I had gotten a letter but was glad to here that you were well my health is still improving some I am considerable better than I have been
heretofore for which I thank the Lord
hoping it may still improve. well Giney I have not time to write
much this morning [unclear: Ad] Baylor is going to start home
is waiting for to take this with him I will write
soon
again tell Nely I will write to her soon

The weather is very cold
here for several days I know it is awful in
Augusta.
tell Pa to write to me I want to hear from him in regard to the matter of which you spoke in your letter hope he may succeed,
There is nothing of importance going on in camp I must stop for this time
so nothing more
