Jacksonville Florida

My dear sister

I take my pen in hand to inform you that i am well at present and all the rest of the boys is well

Joe was wounded a little in the head but he is well again and he is so big and fat you would hardly know him if you would see him Jake is well and William was killed in the last battle we had at [illeg.] on the 20th of February John Chambers and John Henry Carl was killed in the same battle Solomon Cambel sent his love to you Dave is well gorge Demis had the measles but he is well again i hope these few lines may find you all enjoying the good health and i hope the lord will bring the day soon that we may meet again please give my love to all the rest of the friends you Can tell Mrs Cambel that i am Camp Close to her husband i Can see him every day you must excuse my short letter this time for now i must bring my letter to a Close nothing more at present goodbye
